When people use search engines to ‘solve problems’ they are addressing issues nearest to them. Organizations that want to be successful using search engines have to serve a specific niche (a few particular set of problems to a few particular set of people). Search engines add ‘invisible’ things to a person’s question, like their location and past browsing habit, that you can address by being definitive about your service-region and your category. To blog is to steal a move from the media playbook. What ‘old’ articles and ‘old’ news are good for is information-seeking and not news.
